Rizal College of Taal

G. Marella St., Taal Batangas
Rizal College of Taal

was founded on May 22,1923 by the brothers Quirino, Jose, Juan, Ramon and Mariano Eleazar, who all hail from Lucban, Tayabas (now Quezon). They saw then that the town of Taal, Batangas needed an institution that will offer secondary education; and by 1931, their school already offered complete secondary program with an enrolment of 212 students.

The Rizal College of Taal ‘s growth included expansion of school facilities. A four-storey building was constructed in Buliran, which now houses its intramural grounds, a gymnasium, an auditorium, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, the college library and a speech laboratory. Through the years, the Rizal College of Taal has produced college and high school graduates who have become worthy and productive members of our society. The Rizal College of Taal can proudly claim that it has given its fair share in molding productive and responsible citizens of the community and the country as a whole.

A CLEAR PATH TO BETTER EDUCATION

Rizal College of Taal stands for Right Choice. Being the Right Choice requires dynamism in adapting to changes. The school therefore has taken steps to become a more competitive learning institution by enhancing its curricular offerings to meet the requirements of the employment market. In line with this, it is now offering a two-year Hotel and Restaurant Management Course wherein students will earn certifications in three TESDA-defined qualifications, namely: Food and Beverage Services NC II, Bartending NC II and Housekeeping NC II. The HRM course is supported with the construction of a mini-hotel room, laundry room, front office, mini bar and mini restaurant and kitchen — outfitted with all the required equipment and tools.

In the same vein, the Rizal College of Taal is constantly strengthening its teaching force by sending them to seminars and conferences for their professional development. It also conducts an annual faculty and staff development seminar right before the start of the school year to strengthen their capabilities to meet the challenge of being the Right Choice.
