The main concern of teacher education is the preparation of globally competitive teachers who are imbued with ideals, aspirations, and traditions of Philippine life and are sufficiently equipped with pedagogical knowledge and skills.
The teacher education curriculum, as it is offered by the Rizal College of Taal, provides two general streams: Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) for teaching in the elementary and secondary levels, respectively. The curriculum includes a body of knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, and experiences that will provide prospective teachers with the necessary competencies essential for effective teaching in either of the two levels.
The BSED curriculum, as it has evolved, now is subdivided into 6 major fields, namely: Filipino, English, Physical Science, Biological Science, MAPEH, and History.
